Contains the following types of materials: photographs, postcards. Covers the following war: World War I (WWI). General description of the collection: The Robert E. Scott photograph collection consists of copies of photographs from an album of WWI photographs. None of the photographs in this collection are original images. The subject matter of this collection is the construction of the buildings and facilities of Camp McClellan, Alabama, in 1918. There are many photos of buildings in progress and completed buildings, both exterior and interior. Among these also are photos of soldiers' activities at Camp McClellan from baseball teams and games to lines at mess halls. For photo documentation of a WWI camp (which became a permanent military post), this collection would be of great interest.
